Biography
After a bachelor degree of German language and literature, Marie-Anne Losco learns lyrical singing at the Nancy Conservatory with Jacqueline Brumaire and improves her baroque singing at the department of ancient music of Strasbourg with Jill Feldman and Henri Ledroit. She continues her training in London with Jessica Cash. She develops her approach of the Italian lyrical repertoire with Armando Salducci and the French repertoire with Michèle Command and Gabriel Bacquier. She performed in concerts with different groups : the Concert Royal de Nancy (Diapason d’or 1987), the Atelier Lyrique du Rhin (with Pierre Barrat as Stage director) and Ensemble vocal de Heidelberg. She sang under the direction of Martin Gester, Bernard Foccroule or Eckart Weyand. With the Société de Musique Ancienne de Nice, the Ensemble Baroque de Nice, the Ensemble Lascaris, the Ensemble Barroco, La Muse de Monaco, she performed as a soloist. She also performed in recitals of Lieder or melodies, or in lyrical concerts with piano or orchestra. Today, she almost only dedicates herself to teaching at the Académie Rainier III de Monaco, where she trained singers who are now performing in Opera houses all over Europe or have become teachers, and among them, the tenor Jean-François Borras, who leads an international career. She also coordinates an educational program for Chorus artists with the Opéra de Monte Carlo.
